Learned of carpal tunnel after the fact

I just learned today that the pain in my wrist was most likely carpal tunnel and I have not worked for about 1 1/2 years but this started before I left my job. I got pregnant and of course the symptoms got worse. Feeling it was mostly figuring it was due the pregnancy I sad nothing to my employer. Now my daughter is 1 1/2 years old and I found out that pregnancy is not the cause. Can I still get some kind of compensation from my previous employer? I fear that my hands may be beyond anything but surgery and my doctor is having me tested for arthritis as well in the wrist area.

Re: Learned of carpal tunnel after the fact

It may depend whether you reported anything to your employer while you worked. If so, you might be able to press a claim, but you appear to be right up against a time limit. If you said nothing at the time, it may already be too late.
