Legal Question in Disability Law in New Jersey

discrimination against disabled

I had tendon transfer for both my hands and feet, one at a time. Most recently I had surgery of my Right hand and arm, tendon transfer and some other nerve and muscle reconstruction. I have CMT/ a kind of Nuromuscular-wasting syndrome. I work as a cashier. My gave a note, not to use my right hand and no lifting of any weights. My employer says I have to use my right hand and lift weight. My employer can give a job in Electronics and Customer service, or other non weight lifting/carrying jobs. But my employer is not willing to do that. By using my right hand , I am destroying my hands and it is started to show up.

This is a discimination against Handicapped. What can I do?.

thanks for your help.

Re: discrimination against disabled

It sounds to me as if you have been discriminated against. Feel free to call our offices or e-mail me directly. I will provide you with a brief questionnaire that will help me evaluate how much you are entitled to recover. Also, if you claim against your employer, they cannot retaliate against you.
