Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey

I'm trying to argue a early termination fee from an oil company. The contract was accepted verbally over the phone by me and the duration was stated to be one year effective March 19, 2009 and ending March 31, 2010 (longer then the 1 year duration as stated). I entered into the agreement and on March 26, 2010 they called and my wife told them I cancelled the account. I'm arguing 2 points with them:

1) I entered into the contract March 19, 2009 and it should have ended March 18, 2010.

2) I did not grant my wife authorization to make decisions on the contract. They say I had to notify them that she could not make decisions.

I would be really interested to see what documents they say support their claim.

How much money do they claim?

Call me if you want a lawyer to assist.
