Posting pictures online without my consent

i found out from a friend that my picture has been posted on a singles website with out my consent i am a married woman and i am very disturbed that this has occurred what are my rights and what can i do

I am sorry that has happened to you.

Depending on all the facts, you may have a number of actions to pursue as a result of the company's actions. First, by using your photo without consent, they invaded your privacy and have cast you in a "false light." False light basically means they made you look bad and the image they portrayed is untrue. Also, by using your photo to advertise their company, they "commercially appropriated" your likeness without compensation.
