Legal Question in Technology Law in New Jersey

My Hosting company has damaged my web site

Hello, I'm seeking some legal advice.

I own a number of online web sites, which are hosted by 3rd party hosting companies.

Recently on of their server was replaced and all information, hosted sites, etc, had to be moved to another/new server. One of my sutes was part of that movement. During the proceedure the hosting company messed up part of my sites coding, which has made my forum section quick working. This is a major part of my website, ahd people subscribe , paying a fee to access this section of the website. Now they can't. Its been 2 days and the forums are still down. This is causing a hardship on my. my site, and the value of my work on this website is decreasing because of this problem.

How do I seek finacial re-Imbursement and legal representation on this problem, now do I seek legal representation for an Internet problem, lets say I'm an american citizen, living in Germany and the hosting company is in New Jersey

thanks for your time and help.

Boyd

Boyd,

Your rights and remedies would be defined in the terms and conditions that you agreed to when you originally signed up with this hosting company. In most cases, the hosting company disclaims much of its liability for this type of loss, but depending upon the cause of the data loss, you may have other options. Feel free to contact my office to discuss further.
