Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

I would like to clear a judgement agst me from 1993 which included a second person and a corporation. I contacted Union County Courthouse and they gave me a number for the attorney who filed. I cannot find the company nor the attorney to discuss my portion of a settlement. My question is 1) what part am I responsible for (1/3?) 2) how do I find who to pay or discuss with? If they are no longer in business, who do I contact to follow up on this? This is on my personal judgment search and I want to retire soon without any hitches. Can you tell me what I need to do.

Thank you.

I am not sure what kind of hitch you would anticipate with a judgment that old. However, I can probably give you some help with locating the lawyer for the judgment creditor. /p/ See also: http://info.corbettlaw.net/lawguru.htm
