Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

Medical Insurance Company fails to pay bills results in collections

I'll keep this short, I have a Top Secret Clearance, its a must for my job. Our Medical Insurance Company has failed to pay a few bills, resulting in me being put into collections. Once my re-investagation for my clearance comes around again, my clearance will be removed because of the collection notices on my report. Once I lose my clearance, I'll lose my job. Once you lose a Top Secret clearance, you can never get it back. This has been explained time and time again, every time I call the Ins. Company, they apologize and assure me this will be taken care of, but it never does. This problem has and will effect my entire life.

Re: Medical Insurance Company fails to pay bills

It seems to me that the path of least resistance is to pay the bills and then sue the insurance company for reimbursement. That would certainly be cheaper than losing your job. Otherwise, your only solution at this point would be to file suit now and hope it gets resolved before any clearance checks are done. Keep in mind that this advice is based purely on the little bit of information that you have given to me. There may be other factors that would change my opinion. Further, no one can rely on advice from an attorney who has not been retained. Since it appears that you have not retained an attorney, before you take any further action, you should contact an attorney (either me or someone else) to discuss your matter in more detail. Only then will you be able to rely on the advice. I will be happy to assist you. However, you need to call me at 856-546-8010. If you mention LawGuru, there will be no charge for your first consultation. Good luck! Rob Gleaner
