Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

Hi, I just recently brought my car to a body shop to get it repaired after an accident. Once all repairs were completed the shop called me and told me I owed 2022.00. I paid this amount and and collected my car. In the last week I have received calls from them saying I now also own $1500 as a remaining balance due to an error in there billing department. The reason they state is because the check the insurance company wrote me was for more and they didn't collect the full amount accidentally. At this point its not about the money owed to me. I'd pay that with no problem. The problem is for the following issues:

1. The day and time I was told i could pick up my car was changed last minuet costing me and hour of work time. The prior day they said they closed @ 3pm and on the day i went to get my car they closed at 2 forcing me to have them leave my car unwatched on the street unlocked with the keys in it and not chance to look over the repair with them.

2. The work wasn't properly aligned right and there are gaps.

3. in a one week period of them calling me to collect every day they have also faxed information to my job stating insurance fraud, and called managers to discuss the matter with claiming I'm dodging there calls and that i owe them money. Which has already effected some opinions of me.

When I picked up the car I found my receipt signed by the show owner with a stamp saying paid. I have the car now and the keys are in my hand. Yet they have done all this in a weeks period just because i haven't gotten to call them back yet... Do i have any recourse? Im afraid this could affect my job now.
