Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

I was arrested on the beach for having a small amount of marijuana stuck to my ID. The cops also found paraphenalia and marijuana on the beach that may have my fingerprints on it. This is my first offense, what should I do?

You can apply for what is called a Conditional Discharge, which is a form of probation where, if you complete it successfully, will result in a dismissal of the charge against you. The fines are pretty high, and if you fail out of the program you are facing the maximum penalties you looked up. If you want to see if there is a defense to the charge so you can try to actually beat the charge please contact me. I never charge for simpl;y talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
