eluding

What is the mandatory prison sentence in New Jersey for eluding the police? A plea of five years was suggested, should the person take it?

Re: eluding

If its a second degree, the prison term will be 5 to 10 and he would have to serve 85% of that. However, its kind of hard to get a good second degree case so the typical plea is 3 years. Unless that person has a big record, 5 years sound like a bad plea but a lot depends on the facts. I had a guy that smashed into several cars through multiple towns and he wound up doing 9 months.

My intial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.

Re: eluding

If it is a 2nd degree the person is facing 5-10 years assuming there is no prior crimial record. It is very hard to give an answer without reviewing the case. I can be reached at 201/646/9600.
