Re: alimony

All of these suggestions are possible. However, whether they are likely cannot be determined until an attorney fully reviews your entire situation and determines whether your requests are reasonable in light of all factors. Many people will ask a reasonable question that just cannot be answered without looking at the entire situation.

I would suggest that you immediately retain counsel to review your entire situation. I offer a one hour in-office free counsultation to anyone who finds me through Law Guru. Feel free to call me to schedule an appointment. Good luck! Rob Gleaner

Re: alimony

It is what a judge believes the law requires and not what your husband wants to pay that matters. A long term marriage such as yours obligates a husband whose earning capacity is substantially greater to provide alimony on a permanent basis

and consistent with the manner in which he previously supported you. Child support is based on court guidelines and not what your husband wants. Take your papers to an attorney.

As for the house being yours, I need more information.

As the other attorneys said, some of your questions can only be answered by the Judge. However, I could give you a good idea of what to expect. My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.

Also keep in mind that you need to file an answer to that divorce complaint, so you don't have time to waste.
