Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

As for a conflict of interest. My lawyers partner back over 10 years ago was used by the persons mother in a divorce case. Is there a conflict of interest here?

If I understand your scenario, an attorney is currently representing a person in some action pending in Court presently. 10 years ago, that attorney's partner represented that person's mother in a divorce action. Assuming that the person was not involved as a litigant in his mother's divorce, I cannot see a conflict.
