Re: divorce

An attorney would need a lot of more information from you before it is determined what you "owe" your wife. Do you have a prenuptial agreement? Your house may not belong to only you if you do not have a prenuptial agreement. You need to see an attorney if you have decided that a divorce is for you.

Re: divorce

What you "owe" depends on a lot of things such as written agreements as to alimony and child support for example.

Have you and your spouse made any written agreements with regard to child support or alimony?

Re: divorce

Apart from the issue of who is entitled to the house, which Marc and Antoinette address, you may be responsible for alimony, as well as allocation of other assets that belong to both of you. I suggest that you contact an attorney and more fully explain your situation. This firm offers a free, 25 minute intial consultation for family matters.
