Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

If I get a divorce from my wife, can I force her to sell the house we bought together in New Jersey? We have a children together who lives there also.

Also, if we get a divorce, can my wife take my daughter out of the country without my permission?

Thanks for any info.

in the divorce, all of the things that you and she own are split 'equitably'. that means that you should be able to get your share (whatever it is) of the value of the house, paid to you in cash.

your wife can not take the child out of the country without your permission, BUT you have to take steps to make sure that your rights are protected.

all of this is just the very beginning of the analysis, and there is a LOT more information that I would need to be able to give you any advice.

If you are getting a divorce, you need a good divorce attorney. Call me, and I will see what I can do. 201 820 3460.
