How to ask judge for a change

Neither my h nor myself have attorneys. I got rid of mine

We have a conference with judge. I think for discovery.

I want to ask the judge to be able to cancel his life ins. immediately as I am paying it, but I want 1/2 of the proceeds.

How do I ask the judge. Do I need to fill out a form first?
