Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Will I forfeit any interest in our home if I leave first and then file

My husband and I purchased a home 6 months ago. I want a divorce. The deed is only in his name due my credit history. I was already told that I am still entitled to 50%. My questions is. If I move out before I file for divorce, will I lose any interest I have in this home? Will the courts make us sell the home and split assets(we put 50,000 down on the home). I work full time and all my paychecks go towards all the bills here. I also have two children from previous marriage.

Thank you for your inquiry.

It may be detrimental to you financially to move out of the marital home at this time. However, I must learn more facts before making any conclusions.

It would be my pleasure to speak to you about your potential divorce. Accordingly, please feel free to contact my office at 732 246 0909 to discuss further.

Very truly yours,
