Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey

civil default motion

In a situation where you have received papers for the filing of a ''default motion'', how long does it take for the court to respond to it?

In other words, if a default motion was filed in the Federal court, how long until the motion was granted,on average?

Re: civil default motion

If the motion is in order, it will generally be decided on the date in the notice of motion or, if none is mentioned, then the court's next motion day. The District Courts hear non-emergency motions every two weeks. The Bankruptcy Courts hear motions every week.
