Hi, my husband and I hired a lawyer to get my immigrant visa, i am german he is in nj, now we found out that the lawyer forgot to mail our papers out that we had finished 2 weeks before easter. this delays things by nearly 3 months, is there anything they can do to speed things up? or what can I do about the lawyer is noiw offering a 500 dollar discount on services which seems like a joke compared to 3 montsh longer of beeing seperated from my family due to the lawyers mistake ( missplacing papers) they only realize the mistake becasue I contacted them asking about progress.

Unfortunately, the USCIS will not expedite processing of your petitions because of your lawyer's mistake. If you paid the lawyer for the work already done, maybe they can just submit your applicatons for you. Otherwise, you can fire your lawyer and hire another attorney. Or submit already prepared application packet by yourself.
