Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

My father came to live with my husband and I recently because his condo burnt down (no fault of his own). We expect him to live with us for about 2 yrs. He changed his mailing address to his car insurance and other items to our home address temporarily. We are home owners. He is 78 years old and in good health basically, but slowing down. We have noticed that he occassionally has driven drunk after he's been out. My husband is concerned that because our home is listed as his home address that we are legally liable if he gets into an accident while driving. Is this a concern we should have? We don't want to lose our home because of and accident he might have.

Living with you does not make you responsible for your tather's acts, unless you caused his intoxication or have legal title to the car he drives.
