Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

Age discrimination in being pulled over?

Easy question.

I got pulled over on a school day (im 17 with a provisional license) with 3 other people in my car. The officer only charged me for not having my license, not for breaking provisional rules... The thing is that I didn't break any moving laws, I did not run red lights/speed/run a stop sign etc. When asking the officer why he stopped me, he told me he saw 4 kids in my car, assuming that i have a provisional license and was driving during school hours, he pulled me over.... Said he was allowed to do so, same with pulling people over after 12 that look young...

I was told this is ''age discrimination'' - should i go to court? would the ticket be dropped? please help.

Sounds like you have a lot of issues, but I'm not clear on the ticket that you have. Depending on the ticket, it may not be a big deal or you could use your license. Drop me an email with the statute number on the ticket, should start with 39 so it will look like 39:4-50. If you let me know what that it, I'll tell you the penalty and you can decide if you need an attorney.
