I do not think anyone can predict your chances of winning a trial with or without a lawyer. It sounds like that you are saying that the officer wrote you up for a speeding ticket and he has not informed you about the radar reading, if in fact a radar was used in connection with issuing the summons. Before you proceed to trial you should know how fast the officer is claiming that you were traveling above the limit. 1 to 14 miles above the posted speed limit is 2 points, 14 to 29 miles over is 4 MV Points and if the officer is claiming that you were traveling in excess of 30 miles above the limit you would be facing 5 points. Some Judges will also suspend your license if you are going in excess of thirty. Therefore, before you go to trial you should really speak with the officer or the prosecutor to see what you are facing and what they may be willing to do to reduce the points, Please feel free to call with any further qustions I do not charge a fee to speak to someone about their case (201)-342-5030

Stop trying to be your own lawyer. Hopefully you have not alienated the officer so much he is not reluctant to cut you a break. The ticket should tell you how fast you were going by the statute with which you were charged.

It sounds like you are saying you got a speeding ticket but also that there were some issues as to how you were given the ticket. If you want a trial then I would advise you to hire an experienced traffic lawyer because you already have indicated that you are not familiar with the law. Please contact me to deiscuss how I can assist you. Thank you.

Sincerely yours, -Ronald Aronds, Esq.-
