Legal Question in Workers Comp in New Jersey

worker's comp benefits stopped

I am writing this for my father. He was injured several years ago at work. He has been through several surgeries for a injured back and has been on worker's comp. He has returned to work several times but then he goes back out because of the pain and injury. He is still under a doctors care who suggested surgery again but since then his co. has been stalling requesting other opinions, tests and additional paperwork etc. They terminated his w/c pmts and his medical coverage. He has become depressed and is still in constant pain. The loss of income has been devastating to my parents. My mother has medical conditions and w/o benefits cannot pay for her meds. They offered them COBRA but without my dad's pay they can't afford it. This is causing great mental, emotional and physical strained on both of them. What can we do? They have an attorney but even he is avoiding them because of his other cases.

Re: worker's comp benefits stopped

you need to get an attny to go back to comp court and get the meds paid and his wage reinstated at the comp rate.. he is also entilted to a permanency award.
