Aflac Supplemental Insurance
My employer gave been several insurance application, without a manual or anything. I was told if I didn't like the insurance, I could cancel at any time. I signed up for Aflac, not knowing anything of the particulars. It has been less than 30 days and I want to cancel it, but am being told I must keep it for a period of 1 year. The costs of these supplemental policies will make be have to quit my job if I can't terminate them because they are costing more than 1/2 my gross income for the month.

Discuss this with the person who told you cancellation was OK. If you are concerned about losing your job, why not call the insurance company representative who sold this and discuss it with him/her. What does the paperwork that came with the policy say?
