Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York

Frozen bank account

My bank account was frozen, I was wired an international wire transfer. I have a 2 part question: 1) If I can get in touch with the person (as of yet I can't) can it be stopped? 2) If it cant be stopped will it go through and the funds deposited or fail?

Re: Frozen bank account

The wire will be returned to the sender if it cannot be deposited in your account. if it is deposited in your account it willbe subject to the freeze.

Re: Frozen bank account

There is a period in which the transfer may be revoked. The transfer is not finalized for a period of time after it is made. Get on this quickly. It will require both you and the sender to request that the transfer be revoked.

There are some interesting bank fraud cases involving the Russian mafia on this point. I represented a victim of such a scam and worked with the FBI on the case. It was exciting.

GET ON TOP OF THIS QUICKLY. TIME IS RUNNING OUT.
