CEASE & DESIST Letter - Can u still be sued?
Once you send a collection agency a cease & desist letter can they still obtain a judgement against you or sue?

The 'cease and desist' requires them to authenticate the debt to you before contacting you further about the debt.
A lawsuit requires them to authenticate the debt to a court.
