Expunge or Seal satified judgements?

Can a satisfied judgement (credit debt) be expunged or sealed? If so, what is typically the process?

Re: Expunge or Seal satified judgements?

Why? The judgment is a matter of public record. You need the satisfaction filed to cancel out the judgment, or else the judgment 'remains in place'. The satisfaction is the piece that shows that the judgment is satisfied.

Re: Expunge or Seal satified judgements?

The answer is NO. If the judgment was satisfied, a satisfaction of judgment was filed in the court where the judgment was entered and/or transcripted. The satisfied judgment stays on your credit history for up to 6 years. Remember, it is a credit history, not an instantaneous snapshot of your credit at any one particular time.
