Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

holding mail for a homeless person

I am currently allowing a homeless person's mail to be delivered to my address. In other words she is using my address for her auto insurance, credit card, social services, etc. Are there any risks or liabilities that I can incur in this situation? Is this legal? Could I ever be responsible for her debt? The person has a limited type of apartment she can get, because of her disability, and landlords don't want to take her so easily.

There is no liability involved however, should they ever have to contact this person or start legal proceedings they may come to visit you for information.
