Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

lien on home I don't own

I have a lien on my home, but only my husband is listed on the mortgage papers. How can they do this?

You must be on the title or the lien is from a joint debt.

If the debt is soley yours and the house is solely titled (deed) in your husband's name, your husband can sue them.
