I tried this on another site and was asked to pay.
My spouse is incarcerated with Bail 1500. or Bond 3000. I am an elderly retiree on social security and a small city pension. I don't have any money.
I have a friend who has offered to give me 300.00 for a bail bondsman. I need to know what they can charge me (legally). The only one who called me back asked for 40%, which seems exorbitant to me.

You should be able to find somoene who will charge 10 percent plus a piece of collateral worth more than the bail. Good Luck
