Legal Question in DUI Law in New York

intoxalock

i was charged with a dwi offense and inserted into the new york state ''drug court'' program. the judge ordered that an intoxalock( an ignition based breathalizer )system be installed on my vehicle. However my liscense has been revoked and the only vehicle in my household is titled, registered, and insured to my wife. shes a lung cancer survivor and doesn't have the lung power to operate the intoxalock system. The judge now wants the car off the road if the system isn't on there. is it legal for the judge to deprive my wife of the right to drive her car like this?- thanks -Tom
