Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

My attorney settled my case, forged my signature on the settlement and release. is there anyway to reverse the settlement?

my attorney claims that he never settled the case. however, I got in touch with opposing counsel and he shows proof that my attorney settled the case and that both attorneys received money that was in escrow. not only does my attorney claim he didn't settle, he also got the check and the check also cleared the bank and didn't give me any money.

So basically my attorney settled the case "by forging my signature on the settlement and release", and discontinued the case in court.

IS THERE ANYWAY TO REVERSE THE SETTLEMENT WHEN MY SIGNATURE WAS FORGED ? or, my only recourse is to sue the attorney?

Do you know how much your case is worth? Was the settlement fair? I am surprised the opposing counsel did not notify the Grievance Committee of the Bar Association regarding this alleged fraud. This is no different than a bank robbery or embezzlement. You should contact the local Bar Association; they will inform you how to proceed.

Also contact another attorney to pursue payment and vacate the purported settlement.
