Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

Auto Accident Due to Negligence on part of Mechanic

Auto Accident- wheel fell of while driving on NJ Turnpike, hit Chevy Blazer (people in Blazer were hurt). Had car inspected the week before. After inspection, had drive shaft changed, heard weird, grinding noise. Brought it back next day to mechanic, said it was fine. Had accident 2 days later. I think accident was due to negligence on part of mechanic who changed drive shaft. Do I have legal recourse? I was not hurt seriously

If you can prove the auto mechanic did something wrong, you can sue. You need an expert opinion - that is, you need a qualified auto mechanic to testify that the other mechanic did something which was the cause of your auto accident. I would suggest you contact an attorney who has handled this type of case in the past, and have a consultation.

1- Be happy that you are not injured.

2- IMMEDIATELY tell you insurance company about that accident.

3- Good Luck
