Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

Slander Question

The woman that lives next to me in my apartment building is telling other neighbors that i'm a theif and a convicted felon, both of which I am not. This all started when she left some groceries outside her door, when she went out to get them they were gone and I happened to be the unlucky person that was walking down the hallway. She is really causing trouble, do I have any rights in this matter? How can I make her stop saying these things?

Thanks.
