Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

presence of a stenographor

Just prior to my civil case starting , the judge sent the stenographor home. Is this legal??

Sure unless you objected, which I assume you did not. This is one of the many reasons why you should have an attorney for litigation. Do you also rebuild your car computer and construct your home?
