Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

Small Claim Court

In 2004 my uncle bought a car and then he couldn't keep up with the car & insurance payments. In 2005 I bought the car from him and started paying for the car pmts, and the insurance. Since he was my uncle, I trusted him and there for, we didn't bother to transfer the car under my name. It was only said, when the car is fully paid, we can go head and do the transfer. Now in 2007 he asked me to give him back the car, which i did, since he told me that he was going to report the car stolen! I have prove of all the car pmts and insurance pmts, and all the money that i initially paid him, will that be enough prove to sue him? What else will i need in the small claims court?

Re: Small Claim Court

Well, it will basically come down to his word against yours, but you should be prepared with whatever documentation you have and any witnesses to the transactions.
