Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

I was a victim of real estate fraud, they stole my home! I want to sue the company that ran the scam.

how ever they have been taken over by another company the new company hold 51% of the old company are they now liable for the action of the previus company evenif they were not a part of that company at the time of the fraud.
