petitioning my mom

my mom is in the philippines, i'm an

american citizen. if i want to petition

her, what are the steps that i should

take? do i have to go back to the

philippines? or can i do it here? please

hope someone can help me...thanks

As a U.S Citizen you can petition for your parent in U.S., no need to go anywhere.

As an american citizen, you can file a petition for your mother here, you do not have to travel anywhere.

You must first file a petition for alien relative, and once it is approved, to file for green card for you mother.

You can petition for your mother while you are in the United States. Once the petition is approved, then she will go to the Consulate in the Philippines to get her green card with which she can enter the US.
