Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

I discovered my job is being advertised online. My boss (company is small - 10 people on the payroll) tells me she is moving me to a creative roll IF one exists because of a corporate guru who made us take a personality test to discover our types. Apparently I came out to be creative not suitable to finance which is what I do. I know she is really just keeping me on to train the new person and then she will let me go (she has done this to others in the past). Do I have any legal rights?

As New York is an at-will employment state, you can be terminated at any time for any non-discriminatory reason. That being said, if you believe your termination is imminent, that is the best time to consult with a severance attorney to review your options and best position yourself to negotiate a fair severance package.
