Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

Paid Check not credited in court

I presented 3 checks in court to the judge but he failed to credit me for

1 of them; it was shown as cashed; stamped by the bank. the landlord

made me pay this money again. The checks were not marked correctly

as being in evidence and the Judge was later removed from the bench

because of a substance abuse problem. How can I appeal this in court ?

Mistakes happen. It is a good thing the judge has been removed before he could do real damage to you.

I am unclear on some information; but at your next appearance, just show all of the checks and ask that the arithmetic be re-checked.

You do not need to hire a lawyer for this.
