Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New York

Suing

What is the legal time frame that you can sue for medical malpractice in New York. I hear 2 1/2 years, but I am not sure if it's from the time of the surgery or from the last time that you saw your surgeon for an office visit.

From the last visit if there was continuous treatment for the same condition.
