Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New York

Time Limit

My son was misdiagnosed with migranes in 2001 when he was 15. After 2-3 visits to the dr ina 3 week period he was diagnosed with a sinus infection and given antibotic treatment. Two days into the treatment he suffered seizures and was hospitalized for 2 weeks with cerebritis.

The infection had gone to the frontal lobe of his brain.

He needed emergency surgery and has a permanent soft spot on his head. He suffers from some memory loss...I think they call it long term memory loss.

He is now 20 and would like to initiate a suit against the doctors involved. Is this possible or has too much time passed?

Re: Time Limit

It depends on last date of treatment, his age, etc. It is not a simple fill in the box, but time is a critical aspect. Feel free to contact men directly to see if these questions can be answered because there needs to be a conversation between an attorney and you.

Good Luck to you and your son.
