Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

I was hit by a Commercial 10,001 to 25,000lbs truck, while standing next to my vehicle. I was taken away to the local hospital. My injuries consist of Cervical disc buldge in my neck with chronic cervical spasm, Left forearm crush injury with residual pain, numbness with evidence of medial nerve compromise across the wrist. Carpal tunnel syndrome, left wrist sinusitis, soft tissue edema, tenosynovitis, and scaring. BAck injuries consist of chronic thoracic and lumbar spasms and pain, straightning of the thoracic spine. my left shoulder has small subacromial-subdeltoid bursal and joint effusion. type 2 acromion. I has to do a deposition soon, and would like to know what happens after the deposition. Why do insurance companies take you through so much, and never want to pay? My bills are 35000. How much could I possibly get if the bills need to be paid first? Do you think it will go to trial? How much longer do you think it will take before resolved. I was out of work 2mths because of this accident. What do you think the out come will be.

You really should discuss this with your attorney. It is impossible to answer your questions without more information, including in what state/county your lawsuit is. Most states have no-fault insurance provisions which should have covered your medical bills up to $50,000 (that's the law for NYS).

Do you already have an attorney? If not, please contact my office and let's discuss your case. I have experience with automobile litigation. As far as your medical bills are concerned there is a $50,000 No-Fault limit on most policies. Some policies have a little more.

Presumably, you are already being represented by competent counsel. These questions, all valid, should be directed to your lawyer. Best, M. E. Zuller
