Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

can a non profit be sued ( a sloop club) when they offer free boat launching, festivals, etc. by someone who slipped on the boat ramp - broke his leg and is now suing the club??

Why not..if it did something negligent what difference does paying or not paying for anything make?

Both the club and marina can be sued for negligence.

The fact that the entity which managed or owned the property is a nonprofit does not immunize the entity against liability. The nonprofit can be sued. A good legal defense would be beneficial. My office has expertise in this area.
