Class actions are appropriate where the number of plaintiffs is so numerous that joining each one would be impractical; questions of fact or law are common to the class; the claims of the named plaintiffs are typical of those of the class members; and the named plaintiffs will fairly and adequately protect the interests of the class.

Class actions are permissible both in state court litigation and in federal court litigation.

The first thing to do if one is interested in exploring whether a particular case would be a viable class action is to consult an attorney experienced in that area of the law. It is impossible to evaluate the circumstances of your potential class action lawsuit because you have included virtually no factual information.

If you would like to discuss this, you may feel free to contact me. I have successfully handled class action lawsuits and other complex litigation.

Good luck to you.
