Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

Will Execution

My mother recently died. My minor son is the beneficiary of financial assets but neither he nor I was invited to the reading of the will. Is this improper? I suspect improprieties.

Also, the original Will was rewritten after my mother's faculties were in question. Should I investigate? I believe I was cut out of the 2nd Will by her husband. He may have transferred her real property into his name inappropriately either just before or just after the death.

Please advise.

Re: Will Execution

Many questions are presented here. If the facts you suggest are proven true, then you may have a strong case to contest the validity of the will.

Consultation with a probate attorney would be my recommendation here.
