I am due to recieve a settlement from a workers comp case I have and I am considering divorce at the moment. Can you please tell me if my husband will be entitled to any of that money I get from my case?

Re: montary from settlement

This is more of a divorce law question and not a compensation question. The Compensation Board adjudicates entitlement to awards, not what you do with the money after it is recieved. A spouse cannot get an order paying him directly from the compensation carrier out of a divorce decree. Typically, compensation benefits are not an asset an ex-spouse can make a claim for. They are however subject to child support laws that can be part of a divorce settlement.
