Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

Old case (1998) from Nevada, Children are now in their 20's, arrears only. Original order from NV. states 325/month support and 100/month arrears. Foreign support order says "Collection of arrears Only" but North Carolina is making me pay the full amount of 425/month. When I asked CSE worker about it, she said they have to follow original order.

Should I be having to pay the full amount of the order, or only the amount set for the arrears?

Paying the arrears is critical. If you do not pay the arrears or at least make arrangements to catch the arrears up to date you risk the possibility of being arrested. If you are arrested bond is typically set at at least the full amount of the arrears. As to current child support, that amount could change under certain circumstances regardless of what your NV order says.
