Legal Question in Civil Litigation in North Carolina

In the state of NC, on a eviction summons if it states "possesson only" , does that mean.they are not given you the opportunity to.pay the rent. Even if they have part of the payment

No, what that means is that the Landlord only sought possession. There is nothing that forces them to take the rent at this point. You can speak to your landlord and see if they will take the rent, but they are not required to.
