Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina

Need Advice

Unknowing to anyone my daughter had a judgement lien 9 years ago against her. It is not reported on her credit report. Six months ago she used her credit to help me and her dad purchase a home, not there is a judgement lein against the property. What can we do to have the lein removed? The lien is in her and her former b/f's name.

Re: Need Advice

You can negotiate it or pay it. If it was 9 years ago, is anyone trying to enforce it? If not, it will basically lapse after 10 years from the date of entry - can be renewed by creditor but usually doesn't happen.
