Divorce agreement

My exwife of 8 yrs.wants to sell the house in NC.Real Estate in NC says my Present wife of 6 yrs.must sign the deed giving up her rights.Who will have to pay the Mortage Co.if something goes wrong. The Price will not pay off the mortgage Will my present wife be responsable

If your ex wife, refinances, then only she and whoever else is voluntarily on the new mortgage with her would be reponsible. If for some reason she does not then you and she would continue to be responsible for the original mortgage; your current wife, however, would not be.
